Tats Tatsuro Masuda, died April 6, 1991 in Wasatch County, Deer Creek Reservoir.
Born October 9, 1916 in Oakland, California to Torasaburo and Kuni Nagamatsu Masuda. Married Hatsue Kuge on January 25, 1942 in Oakland, California. Owned and operated the Uptown Service Station until his retirement at age 64. Member of the Salt Lake Buddhist Church.Survived by wife, Hatsue; children and spouses, Walter and Xan Masuda; Laverne and Mike Zaloba, all Salt Lake City; six grandchildren; five sisters, Fumi Kawamura, Mine Shigematsu, Yoshi Tanisawa, Shima Naruo, and Shizu Iwahashi.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m., Thursday, at the Salt Lake Buddhist Church, 211 West 100 South. Friends and family may call at the Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment services will be on Friday, 10 a.m., at the Mountainview Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South.
