Myrtle Hancock Nielson, 67, of Manti, died April 6, 1991 at her home.
Born May 1, 1923 in Thatcher, Arizona to Fredrick Lionel and Hazel Pearl Barny Hancock. Married Lloyd Heber Nielson August 19, 1949 in Provo, Utah; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died August 19, 1969. She was a veteran WW II, serving in the U.S. Navy, and a member of the Manti 2nd LDS Ward Church.She is survived by one son and four daughters, Mrs. Larry (Linda) Renshaw, Bouton, Iowa; Mrs. Scott (Lora) McAllister, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Sharon Rackham, Richfield; Mrs. Andrew (Bonny) Eahlsrud, Salina; and Duaine, Takoma, Wash.; 29 grandchildren; mother, Hazel Hancock, Safford, Ariz.; four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Chester (Bes) Johnson, Ramona, Calif.; Mrs. Charles (Viola) Roberts; Mrs. Alden (Peggy) Curtis; Mrs. Lester (LaRue) Harper; Fred Hancock; Ivan Hancock, all of Safford, Ariz.
Services are Tuesday, at 1 p.m., in the Manti 1st-2nd LDS Ward Chapel, where friends call Monday, 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, one and a half hours prior to services. Interment in the Ephraim Park Cemetery. Funeral directors, Buchanan Mortuary.
