Linda Asmussen VanCott, 32, of Lewiston, died Thursday evening, April 4, 1991 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born February 12, 1959 in Salt Lake City, the daughter of Earl George and LaFay Jordan Asmussen. She married Woodrow Moyle VanCott on March 2, 1979 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.She was raised in Magna, Utah where she attended school and graduated from Cyprus High School. She also graduated from LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. She worked as an executive secretary for an accounting firm and had worked for the American Cancer Society.

She lived in Edon, Utah and in 1986, she and her family moved to Lewiston. She was active as a Lewiston First Responder She was an active member of the LDS Church, in the Lewiston 2nd Ward at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband; two sons and a daughter, Nicholas Wm., David M., and Amy M., all of Lewiston. Also surviving are her parents of Magna; two sisters, Carolyn Asmussen of American Fork; and Mrs. Randy (Eileen) Daniels of Portland, Oregon; a grandmother, Anonia Jordan of Bountiful.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, in the Lewiston 2nd Ward Chapel, 10 South 1600 West, with Bishop Evan B. Hall conducting. Friends may call at the church Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in the Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. Arrangements are under the direction of Cranney Mortuary.
