Edgar Eugene "Ted" Lasson, 83, passed away April 5, 1991 at the Sanpete Valley Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.

Born June 21, 1907 in Fairview, Utah, a son of Edgar Ole and Elizabeth Young Lasson. Married Helen Frandsen, August 12, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a prominent Sanpete County businessman and a partner in the former Lasson and Norman Auto Company in Mt. Pleasant for 38 years. Active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities, 6 1/2 years as Bishop of Mt. Pleasant 1st Ward. He and his wife served an 18 month LDS Kentucky, Louisville Mission from 1978-1980. He was a Charter Member and President, (two terms) of the Mt. Pleasant Business and Professional Association. Active in the Lions Club, member since 1946. District Zone Leader for Lions International.Survived by wife, of Mt. Pleasant; four sons, one daughter, Mrs. Elwin (Marjorie) Shelley, Sandy; Robert, Boise, Idaho; Keith, of Cedar City; Alan, of Salt Lake; Kenneth, of Midvale; 18 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Jay (Eathel) Winkleman, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Richard (Beth) Siebert, Orange, California. Preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria, parents and a brother, Reed C. Lasson.

Funeral services, Tuesday, April 9, 1991, 11 a.m. at the Mt. Pleasant 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Ursenbach Funeral Home, Monday evening 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
