Southern Utah University trustees have approved a raise of $20 per quarter for resident undergraduate tuition and $65 for non-resident undergraduates for the 1991-92 school year.

Graduate student tuitions will also experience about a 6 percent increase next fall, the same as the undergraduate hikes.Graduate resident tuition will go from $372 per quarter to $394, while non-resident graduate tuition has been raised from $1,192 to $1,264 per quarter.

In addition to the tuition hikes, the board has also approved a $3 increase in student fees bringing that total to $115 per quarter.

Despite the increases, the tuition level is still about $250 lower than other Utah universities.
