Tickets are now on sale for "Falstaff" by Verdi, the Utah Opera Company's final production of 1990-91, which will have five performances in the Capitol Theatre May 18-26. The opera, Verdi's last, is a comedy about the fat knight, Sir John Falstaff, and his attempted amorous conquests. Bass-baritone Ronald Hedlund will play the title role, supported by Karen Anderson (soprano formerly of Utah, now living in California), also Lee Velta, Deidra Palmour, Martha Jane Howe, Susan Deauvono and James Miller. Sarah Ventura will return for her sixth outing as stage director for Utah Opera, and Lee Schaenen will conduct the singers and Utah Symphony.
