The State Department Saturday warned U.S. travelers to Togo to use caution because of violent anti-government protests in the west African nation.

"Certain sectors of Lome and other cities in southern Togo have been the scenes of clashes between demonstrators and security forces. The government has established a curfew for all of Togo," the advisory said.The department urged Americans who go to Togo to contact the U.S. Embassy in Lome to get updated security information.
