The Utah Department of Health is seeking nominations for public representatives to serve on the Utah Health Data Committee.
The committee was established by the 1990 Legislature in order to collect health data.Committee members will attend one to three meetings in Salt Lake City each month. Representatives should understand public policy issues and data needs as related to the health-care delivery system.
Dr. Suzanne Dandoy, executive director of the department, said the committee was formed in hopes that better data on health-care costs and needs will help lower those costs and expand health-care coverage to those who have no access to such care.
Nominations will be accepted at the department through April 15. Nominators should include name, residence, office addresses and phone numbers, as well as personal information such as place and date of birth, education and employment information, political affiliation and public/community service activities.
