Gerald Cannon, a prominent Salt Lake contractor, died Tuesday, April 9, 1991, at his home in Carmel, Calif. He was 84.

Mr. Cannon founded Cannon Construction Co. in 1947, and built the original Park City ski resort in 1963, the original lodge and tram buildings at Snowbird, the Silver Lake and Snow Park lodges at Deer Valley, and other major projects in the Salt Lake Valley.Memorial services will be in Pebble Beach, Calif., Monday, April 15, 1991, at 2 p.m. at the Little Church in the Forest. Memorial services in Salt Lake City are still pending.
