Palestinian prisoners wounded six Israeli wardens during a struggle in a Jordan Valley jail and more clashes erupted on Wednesday on the second day of a general strike in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip.

There were clashes in several parts of the West Bank and troops shot and wounded a 16-year-old Palestinian in Burkin, near Jenin, hospital officials reported.Sixteen Palestinian prisoners held in Shata prison for security offenses attacked and wounded a warden who tried to look at one of the prisoner's letters, prison spokesman Johnnie Tester told Reuters.
