The newly finished Jewett Center for the Performing Arts at Westminster College will open Saturday, April 13, at a 1 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Donor Berenice Jewett Bradshaw will cut the ribbon for the building, on the northwest corner of the Westminster campus. A piano recital by Clayton Williams will follow the ceremony. There will also be tours of the building and a reception.Other dignitaries attending the ceremony will be Westminster President Charles H. Dick; Salt Lake Mayor Palmer DePaulis; M. Walker Wallace, chairman of the Westminster Arts Advisory Council; John S. Young, Westminster Board of Trustees vice chairman; Vice President for Academic Affairs Stephen R. Baar; Ray Kingston of AIA, FFKR Architects; and Rick Howa, president of Howa Construction.
