The City Council will discuss the merits of leaving the city swimming pool as an enterprise fund or transferring it to the general fund at tonight's meeting.

Last month the council discussed keeping a property tax assessment to make improvements at the pool. Council members say the pool desperately needs to be upgraded in order for it to become self-sufficient.In other business, the council will name underwriters for the recently-approved general obligation bond. It will also establish new pricing for property in the industrial park. Councilman Wilford Clyde will give an update on the city's composting program, and the council will consider an amendment to the city's pit bull ordinance.
