A Japanese tea ceremony, a Filipino bamboo-dancing performance and food from eight foreign countries will be featured at the annual International Banquet at Weber State University.

The program and dinner will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in the Gallery of the Shepherd Union Building.Jane Hsieh of the university's International Student Centersaid foreign students attending Weber State will cook the meal and provide entertainment. A dance will follow.

Dinner will feature native dishes from Iran, Sudan, Taiwan, Cyprus, Kuwait, Peru, Germany and Thailand. Entertainment will include an international costume fashion show, dancing from Columbia and the Truck Islands, a martial arts demonstration and instrumental music.

Tickets for the dinner, program and dance purchased by Friday, April 12, are $7 for WSU students and $9 for others. Tickets are on sale in the International Student Center, Room 147, Building 1.

Ticket prices at the door are $9 for students and $11 for others. Tickets for the dance only are $3.
