Ballard Medical Products, 12050 S. Lone Peak Parkway, reports a $4 million net income for the six months ending March 31 compared to $2.8 million in the same period a year ago, according to Dale Ballard, president of the disposable hospital products company.
In the quarter ending March 31, Ballard reports net income of $2.2 million compared to $1.8 million for the quarter a year ago.Net sales in the six-month period totaled $18.1 million compared to $13.3 million a year ago and net sales in the quarter ending March 31 totaled $9.5 million compared to $7.3 million in the same period in 1990.
Earnings per share for the six months were 46.8 cents compared to 34.2 cents a year ago. Earnings per share in the second quarter were 25.9 cents compared to 22.2 cents in the same quarter a year ago. Ballard said last year's earnings per share number have been adjusted to reflect the 3-for-2 stock dividend Oct. 5, 1990.
