Family dynamics and the weakening of the family unit are the most critical issues the United Way expects to address in the next five years. But the agency says its Family Support Center will be part of the solution.

The center began serving families in Salt Lake County in 1977. It offers individual, family and group counseling services. Sessions are designed to help families work through the issues that may prevent parents and children from relating to each other in healthy, positive ways."Family problems are not limited to those in our community who face economic distress," said Dr. Jayne Wolfe, executive director of the center. "Family disruption can happen to any of us and when it does, seeking the help of a well-trained, skilled clinician can be a very positive step."
