A 22-lot expansion of the Briarwood Estates subdivision has been approved by the Richfield Planning Commission.
The subdivision is in the southwest sector of the city, the fastest-growing area in Richfield.A proposal that the street at 1050 South be extended to 800 West was presented by Mike Labrum, developer of the subdivision. The street begins at 400 West. He said curb, gutter and utilities will be placed on both sides of the street and along a portion of 800 West.
Labrum said the subdivision was started 13 years ago and that homes have been built along the west end of the project. He said he plans to further develop the project in the future, adding several more lots with curb, sidewalk and gutter improvements.
