The Utah Museum of Natural History will conduct a workshop Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13, designed to take the mystery out of maps.
Museum instructor Bill Case will show participants how to read topographic maps, how to use various ways to determine one's location and how maps are made.The $52.50 fee includes a high-quality compass that allows sightings on distant objects.
The course will meet Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and all day Saturday. It is available for credit as a teacher workshop. Register through the museum education department, 581-4887.
