Wise-cracking comedian Roseanne Barr and ex-husband William Pentland have reached an amicable settlement to a multimillion-dollar divorce dispute.

Details of the settlement were not disclosed in a brief announcement through their attorneys."The settlement was reached through friendly negotiations and was fair to both parties," said Barr's attorney, Arlene Coleman-Schwimmer, and Pentland's lawyer, Marvin Mitchelson.

Pentland last year filed suit against Barr, seeking half of undetermined assets the couple accumulated during their 15-year marriage, $15 million in damages and another $3 million from her current husband, Tom Arnold, claiming that his actions led to Barr ending her business and personal relationship with Pentland in 1989.

Pentland said he had sacrificed his own career to manage Barr's, acted as a homemaker for her and helped develop and write her comedy material, including the top-rated "Roseanne" television series.
