Michael Crawford will haunt the Ahmanson Theatre for a few more weeks as the title character in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera."
The show's producers recently announced that the British actor is extending his appearance through April 28. When he returned to the Los Angeles production on New Year's Eve, he was expected to perform through March 31."The response to my return was quite overwhelming, and, knowing that ticket sales have been strong, I certainly don't want to disappoint anyone," Crawford said. "There are some film projects that I am considering after April, but, until then, I've been having such a good time here I've decided to stay for another month."
