Paccom Leasing Corp., based in Portland, Ore., has opened a Salt Lake City office.
Colleen Hoffmann, formerly an assistant vice president with First Interstate Leasing Inc., has been named marketing manager for the new district office."We felt Salt Lake City was an excellent location to opent a regional office with a lot of good companies in a major metropolitan area," Ted Gwin, vice president of finance, said.
Paccom has also opened offices in San Diego and Phoenix as a result of 1987 assets growing 161 percent and net income increasing 210 percent from 1986, the company said.
Paccom is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pacific Telecomm Inc., which is 87 percent owned by PacifiCorp, a diversified utility company seeking to acquire Utah Power & Light Co.
But Gwin said the move to Salt Lake is not related to the proposed merger between PacifiCorp and UP&L.
