Herman Vandecasteele won at number one singles, but New Mexico proved too tough as they swept the rest of the matches to beat the BYU men's tennis team 6-1 in Western Athletic play Friday.

Vandecasteele fell behind early and lost the first set 1-6. He fought back to win the second and third sets in tie-breakers to win the match.With the loss, BYU falls to 7-11 overall and 1-2 in league play. BYU travels to take on Weber State on Tuesday.
