Lorin F. Butler, 84, died April 3, 1991 in Murray, Utah.

Born October 2, 1906 in Lyman, Idaho to Samuel and Lydia McIntyre Butler. He married Elda Briggs May 18, 1932 in the Logan LDS Temple; she died October 7, 1981. Married Norma Sholar Murray December 17, 1982. Lorin was an educator for 22 years. He retired as a dairy farmer. Lorin loved flowers and gardening.Served Swiss German Mission, January 22, 1928-August 20, 1930. He and his wife, Norma served in the Swiss Temple, 1984-1985 in Bern Switzerland, serving as sealer and ordinance worker; they also served at the Jordan River LDS Temple from October '85 to October, '87.

Survived by his wife, Norma; children, DeEsta Katter, Gary L. Butler, Sally Mok; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; also stepdaughter, Carolyn and Jack Johnson; and stepson, Claude Murray, Walace, North Carolina; brother, Orland Butler; sister, Virginia Hardy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 1991, 12 noon at the Butler 11th Ward, 1845 East 7200 South. Friends may call Friday 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Mt. View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, and Saturday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. View Memorial Estates.
