Beloved husband and father, Thomas H. "Tom" Brown, 51 passed away April 4, 1991.

Born June 5, 1939, in Santa Monica, California. He came to Utah in 1957 to play football at the University of Utah, gradutingwith a B.S. Degree in Physical Education. While in the trucking business, he worked part-time with delinquent youth at the Salt Lake Detention Center. He was employed by Consolidated Freightways and owned and operated Commercial Cartage Company. Tom spent his last two years teaching for Granite School District in the Youth-in Custody Program at Granite Park Junior High. He truly loved his teaching experiences as well as the countless volunteer hours he spent coaching football for the Brighton Little League.The family wishes to acknowledge the extraordinary support, prayers, and love they experienced from friends and neighbors during the past year. They especially thank Philomene Heiser, Terry and Chris Spinks, Bill Chung, Mike Hunter and Tom's former team mates at the University of Utah.

Tom is survived by his wife, Julie Heiser Brown; his beloved children Eric, Shelley and Matthew; his mother, Peg Brown and family.

The rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m., April 7, at Cannon Mortuary, where friends may call from 6:15-7:15 p.m. The Maronite Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 8, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jude Maronite Catholic Church, 5900 South Wasatch, Murray,. Interment, Mount Calvary Cemetery. Funeral arrangements handled by Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East 7600 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84121 (942-6301).
