Our beloved Wendell Roy Madsen, age 36, died April 3, 1991 at a Provo hospital of a sudden illness.
Born November 3, 1954 in Nephi to Alma and Virginia Cowan Madsen. He married Patti Faylynne Sellers, May 3, 1975 in Provo; Marriage later solemnized December 28, 1977 in the Manti LDS Temple. Educated in the Nephi schools. Graduate of Dixie Junior College, where he was active in student government and was a member of the National Honor Society. Also attended Weber State College. Served for four years in the U.S. Air Force, specializing in flight control. Was an excellent guitar player. Active member of the LDS Church, currently serving as Scoutmaster. At the time of his death he was the chief radiological technician for both the Fillmore and Delta hospitals.Survived by his wife; children, Paul Martin, Christopher Sean, Kellie Anne, Nathan Anders and Laura Marie, all of Fillmore; parents, Nephi; brothers, Karl C., Pleasant Grove; Stephen A., Moroni; sister, Barbara, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by a brother, Lauritz T.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8, 1991, at 11 a.m. in the Fillmore First LDS Ward Chapel, 300 East 500 South. Friends may call Sunday 7-8 p.m. Olpin Mortuary, 55 West 200 South, in Fillmore and on Monday one hour prior to services at the Ward Chapel. Graveside services and burial will take place Monday, 2 p.m. in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi under the direction of the Olpin Mortuary of Fillmore.
Wendell will be sorely missed by his many friends and relatives.
