Kelly Cecil "K. C." Barton, 32, died Tuesday, April 2, 1991 in Mesa, Arizona.

He was born May 28, 1958, a son of Cecil and Sally Jalair Adams Barton in Ogden. He married Merilee Stevenson August 22, 1980 in the Logan LDS Temple. He graduated from the Layton High School and the Layton Seminary. He served a mission to Uraguay. While attending BYU, he taught spanish at the Mission Training Center. He was a graduate of BYU. Member of the LDS Church, he served as Elders President, counselor in the bishopric, and as bishop in two wards in Marietta, Georgia. He worked for Trizec Corp. as a leasing agent, Peach Tree Way Plaza in Atlanta, Georgia. He was most recently employed by DAUM Corporation in Phoenix.Survived by his wife, three sons, Derek S. Barton, Kurt C. Barton and Jeff D. Barton, all of Mesa, Ariz.; parents, Layton; two grandmothers, Eva R. Adams, and Camella Barton, both of Kaysville; one brother and two sisters, Chad and wife Jane Barton, Clearfield; Mrs. Cory (Roxanne) Kennah, Layton; Mrs. David (Jalaire) Terry, South Ogden.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Oakhills LDS Ward, 1410 East Gentile Street, with Bishop George Baty officiating. Friends may call Friday, from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 North Fairfield Road, and at the church on Saturday, from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
