Ernest John Rees died of cancer, April 3, 1991 in a Pocatello hospital.
He was born November 28, 1942 in Moroni, Utah, son of Alfred J. (Jack) and Pauline Thomas Rees. He attended schools in Wells, Moroni, Mt. Pleasant, Utah and graduated from American Fork High School. He graduated from BYU with a BS in Accounting and business management; also attended school at Arizona State and Snow College. He served in the Air Force in Viet Nam. He married Linda Ruth McMurtrey September 9, 1967 in Ririe, Idaho; marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.He is survived by his parents, Alfred John and Pauline Rees, American Fork; his wife, Linda Rees, Pocatello, Idaho; two sons and two daughters, Laura, Lisa, Bart, and Brandon, Pocatello, Idaho; three brothers and two sisters, Gordon Rees, Sandy; Kathleen R. Harris, Lindon; Loretta Jacobs, Highland; Scott T. Rees, Taylorsville; Brent T. Rees, Lehi.
He was a member of the LDS Church and served as financial clerk and was a Head Scout Master. He was a temple worker in the Mesa LDS Temple.
Funeral services will be held April 6, 1991, at the LDS Church on Sephon Philben Road, in Chubbuck, Idaho, with viewing before services. There will also be a viewing, April 5, from 7-9 p.m. at the Manning Funeral Home, 510 North 12th Ave., Pocatello, Idaho.
