Wilford S. Larsen, age 85, died peacefully April 2, 1991, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born July 17, 1905 in Salt Lake to Niels and Ellen Smith Larsen. Brother of Claire, Mabel, Ethel, George, Cleve, Roy, John and Grant - all of whom preceded him in death. Biff served in the U.S. Army Air Forces from October 1942 through November 1943 and was honorably discharged with a disability. He was a familiar face for many working years at the Mint Cafe and later in his work for the State Assessor's Office. He was a feisty and good-humored spirit and a fierce sports enthusiast who was delighted to see the NCAA final basketball game the evening before his passing. He also felt blessed for his long and closely shared companionship with Ruby Walgren.Biff held a special fondness for his nieces and nephews and their families: Lynn and Howard Larsen, deceased; Grant and Nancy Larsen; LaVonne, James, Jack and David Larsen; Vernon and Niel Smith; June Handy; Helen Stewart; Jill Livingston; Carol Kranes; Herbert and Sumner Gleason - all surviving.

Graveside services Friday, April 5, 4 p.m., Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and N Street, under the direction of Larkin Mortuary. Friends and family are invited as well, to gather for fond remembrances after the burial, at the home of Carol and David Kranes, 2755 East Comanche Drive (1700 South), Salt Lake City.
