Former champion Larry Holmes fought two comeback bouts Sunday night, one with Tim "Doc" Anderson in the ring followed by a parking lot scuffle with fellow former champion Trevor Berbick.

Holmes decked Anderson twice and stopped him at 2:03 of the first round in his first bout in three years, but that was just a warmup for his impromptu rematch with Berbick. The two former champions exchanged blows in the valet parking area in front of the Diplomat Hotel, where the Holmes-Anderson bout took place.

There were no arrests and no one appeared to be seriously hurt. Holmes and Berbick once met in the ring, with Holmes retaining his title on a 15-round decision April 11, 1981.

After Holmes left his post-fight news conference, Berbick appeared and cursed Holmes. Among the charges leveled by Berbick was that Holmes was trying to break up his marriage.

Later in the parking lot, the two met and Berbick claimed Holmes hit him and kicked him. While Berbick was shouting his charges, Holmes jumped over a brand new car and tackled Berbick to the ground. Both landed punches before they were separated by security personnel and police.

Holmes said during his news conference he had no plans to fight Berbick because he had already defeated him. "I don't want to talk about him because he is not in my future," he said before the parking lot brawl.
