Donna Beckstead McNutt, age 81, died, Monday, April 1, 1991.
She was born January 15, 1910 in South Jordan, Utah, a daughter of Isaac N. and Florence Elizabeth Hutchings Beckstead. She grew up in South Jordan, Utah where she graduated from high school. She worked as a hotel manager for 16 years; as a clerk in Auerbach Department Store. She moved to Alaska in 1960 and then left there and went to North Platte in 1981 to retire. She worked as a clerk while in Achorage, Alaska. A member of the L.D.S. Church, she was an honorary member of the Elks Lodge in Achorage.Survived by one son, Don N. Contratto, North Platte, Nebraska; two daughters, Betty Ann (Mrs. Norman Herrick), North Platte, Nebraska; and Dorothy (Mrs. Mike Warner) Anchorage, Alaska; three brothers, Cleon Beckstead, Sandy; Shirl Beckstead and wife, Shirley, Midvale; Eldon and wife, Betty Beckstead, Midvale; two sisters, "Day" Petersen, Seattle, Washington; Ruby (Mrs. Robert Crellin) Tucson, Arizona; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Claude McNutt in 1987; also by two brothers and three sisters, and one granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 1991 at Odean Colonial Chapel, in North Platte, Nebraska; with Elder Kim Marshall of the branch presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating. Burial at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, Nebraska. A memorial has been established for the "Make a Wish" Foundation.
