Cecil Gee Sumner, 85, died April 1, 1991 in Salt Lake.

Born, August 14, 1905 in Provo, Utah to Thomas and Bertha Gee Sumner. Married Eva Smith, December 29, 1931 and later sealed in the LDS Salt Lake Temple; she preceded him in death, August 22, 1979. Married Antonia Timmerman on December 3, 1980 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated from the LDS High School; graduated from the University of Utah. Retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after more than 40 years of service; ran his own public accounting business. An active member of the LDS Church; served as financial clerk in South Highland Park Ward in five bishoprics over a span of 20 plus years. Served as Stake Missionary and as a worker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; helped send nine grandchildren on missions - all that came of age; member of Sons of Utah Pioneers and Kiwanis. Dad loved boating and fishing with mother and his grandchildren. He loved scouting with his sons, and was proud of his grandchildren.Survived by Antonia, wife; son, C. Smith Sumner and wife Jane; son, Robert S. Sumner and wife Marilyn of Sandy; daughter, Lois and husband Reed F. Christensen, of Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren, Jayne, Steve, Jeff, Bob, Jr., Devon, David, Douglas, Michael, Gregg, Chad, Heather, and Richard; five great grandchildren, Nathanael, Tyson, Peter, Meisha, Hannah; two sisters, Aurora Oddie, Mission Viejo, California; Ruth Marvin, Sedona, Arizona. His daughter, Eve, preceded him in death in 1972.

Funeral Services will be Friday, 12 noon in the Highland Park Ward, 2535 Douglas Street. Friends may call at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, 6-8 p.m.on Thursday and the hour prior at the ward. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
