John Clyde Woolley, 71, died April 1, 1991 at his home.

Born December 27, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Cleveland Groo and Irene Walker Woolley. Married his high school sweetheart, Frances Curtis, May 16, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Retired as city surveyor after 30 years service with the Salt Lake City Corporation. Was honored by the Utah League of Cities and Towns after 30 years of meritorious service. Served as director and past president of Salt Lake City Employees Credit Union. Served in the Pacific Theater, World War II, received the American Theater of Operations Service Ribbon, the Asiatic Pacific Theater Service Ribbon and the Victory Medal. Honorably discharged January 9, 1946.Survived by wife, sons and daughters; Lynn J. Woolley, Kaye W. Parrish, Jeffrey R. Woolley, C. Brent Woolley, and Michelle Shaughnessy; sixteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Marion Morris, Patricia Hill, Waneta Smear. Preceded in death by a brother, Cleveland Mervin Woolley.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 5, 1991, 11 a.m. Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, where friends may call the hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
