Dale Collard, my daughter, my sister, my wife, our mom, our grandma, our aunt, our friend, our confidante, passed away at LDS Hospital, Monday, April 1, 1991.

She had been living in Monticello for the past 23 years of her life. Prior to living in Monticello she began her married life in Nephi, Utah. She was 53 at the time of her death.Born November 19, 1937 in Gunnison, Utah to Thelma Weskenskow and Harry Henry Christiansen. On October 17, 1956, she married James Dean Collard, "the light of her life", in Nephi, Utah. They had three children. Dale was a member of the LDS Church, and found happiness in serving others. Dale was a very loving person, always trying to reach out and touch others lives. Her first priority was her family, that was her love and her will to live.

She was a very clever, talented person, and the people that knew her will always remember her for all the hand made crafts she shared with her friends. Also for her special sense of humor and the way she enjoyed, laughed and loved life.

Memorial services will be held at the Monticello Utah LDS Stake Center, Friday, April 5, 1991, 12 noon. There will be a viewing at the chapel prior to the services beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Monticello Cemetery. It will be a time to mourn, share memories, see old friends, heal ourselves, sing and celebrate the life of a wonderful woman. Please bring your memories of Dale's life to share with us.

Dale would want people to care and mourn for her, but then get on with their own lives.

"Her legacy is the inspiration she gave us, and the changes she brought about in the lives of those who loved her."
