Eleanor Verda Severin, age 62, died March 30, 1991 at her home in Santa Clara.

She was born July 30, 1928, in Tonapah, Nevada to Ruben Dudley and Vilate Sprague Leavitt. She married Lewis H. Severin, January 13, 1951; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death, March 10, 1970. She was an active genealogical researcher all her life, active as Scout Leader, Primary Counselor, visiting teacher and involved in the single adults in the LDS Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.Surviving family members include: three son and three daughters, Louis R. Severin, Kearns; Robert E. Severin and Scott D. Severin, both of Salt Lake City; Jeanette Elizabeth Conley, Frankfurt, Germany; JoAnna Sanders, Las Vegas, Nevada; Nanette Sanders, Escondido, California; 13 grandchildren; one brother and four sisters, Dudley Leavitt, Carson City, Nevada; Zella Leavitt, Washington; Ella Wooley, Las Vegas, Nevada; Bertha Anna Sutton, Washington; Ruby Wilstead, Castledale.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 3, 1991, 10 a.m., Santa Clara LDS First Ward Chapel, 3040 West Santa Clara Drive, where friends may call 8:30-9:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, Thursday, 1 p.m. under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
