Some cows eventually get sent to pasture. Less fortunate ones are sent to the butcher. Maiden the cow is going to Disneyland. Maiden, an 8-year-old black-and-white Holstein from Whitefield, Maine, is about to become a celebrity because of a mark on her side that looks like Mickey Mouse's head. A photography student, Victoria Chiudina, took a picture of the cow owned by farmer Austin Moore and noticed the mark on the cow's side. She then sent it to Disneyland in California. And that is when Maiden was discovered. "I just happened to own the cow, and you may as well have fun with it," Moore said. "And if it makes some kids happy, that is even better." Maiden was expected to arrive at Disneyland on Wednesday, Moore said.
