A Spanish Fork man was shot and two Phoenix men arrested during narcotics arrests at a motel here, authorities said.

Washington County and St. George narcotics officers were involved in the arrests, made Friday on a landing outside a room at the Budget 8 Motel, the St. George Police Department said in a prepared statement.Jorge Martin Perea, 24, and Jose Jorge Garcia, 27, both of Phoenix, were booked into county jail for investigation of drug trafficking and distributing cocaine, police said.

Bail was set at $20,000 each, jail records showed.

Shay Wilson, 34, of Spanish Fork, was shot in the left foot by a police officer during the arrests. He was in satisfactory condition Saturday, Dixie Medical Center reported.

Police did not release details on the shooting, except to say it would be reviewed by the department.

The police statement identified Wilson as a suspect in the case.
