When the Jazz square off against the Nuggets on April 13, Deseret News sports writer Brad Rock will be getting a little help from a friend.

For the second year in a row, the Deseret News and the Utah Jazz are sponsoring a contest to find a boy or girl who can convince the judges in 25 words or less that the Deseret News has the best Jazz coverage.According to Deseret News Marketing Director Steve Handy, the grand prize winner and his parents will start the evening with a pregame dinner in the press room. Next, the winner's picture will be taken with a Jazz player during warm-ups and appear on Jazz Talk with Dave Blackwell and Ron Boone.

During the game, the winner will sit on press row with Brad Rock while the parents watch the game from courtside seats.

Following the game, the junior sports writer may receive permission to attend post-game interviews in the locker room in preparation for a deadline sports story that will run in the Deseret News the next morning.

The contest is open to boys and girls ages 10 through 16. They must write an essay, poem or story in 25 words or less telling the judges why the Deseret News has the best Jazz coverage.

Only one entry per person is allowed. Entries must be received at the Deseret News by 5 p.m. on April 9. Winners will be announced in the April 13 Deseret News.
