Three third-period goals gave the Salt Lake Golden Eagles a come-from-behind 4-2 victory over the San Diego Gulls here Saturday night.

Salt Lake fell behind 2-0 in the first period as the Gulls got goals from Mike Sullivan and Steve Richmond. The Eagles cut the deficit to one in the second period as Paul Kruse slapped in the rebound of a missed shot by Todd Harkins.In the final period, Salt Lake tied the game at the 5:57 mark with a slapshot by Bryan Deasley from the top of the left circle. They went ahead for good at 12:23 when Tim Sweeney backhanded the rebound of a Darryl Olsen miss.

Salt Lake added an insurance goal with 30 seconds left in the game, Sweeney knocking in an empty-netter when the Gulls pulled their goalie despite being one player short after a slashing penalty.
