The cities of Lindon and Orem have agreed to collaborate on a project to improve Orem's 1600 North.
Because the street is a dividing line between the two cities, each has agreed to pay for half of the project. As part of the project, the road will be widened and curb and gutter added. Also, the hill rising east toward Orem will not be as steep.
During Orem's City Council meeting, where the resolution was passed, council members also discussed the possibility of a stoplight at 1600 N. 1200 West.
City Manager Daryl Berlin said the amount of traffic does not yet warrant a traffic signal, though one will probably be needed in the future.
