Television anchorwoman Jane Pauley, former congresswoman Lindy Boggs and Surgeon General Antonia Novello will be among 13 people receiving honorary degrees from the University of Notre Dame.

Pauley, a native of Indianapolis who hosts "Real Life with Jane Pauley" for NBC News, will receive a law degree at graduation ceremonies May 19.Also receiving honorary degrees will be Ireland's head of government, Charles J. Haughey, and newspaper executive Alvah H. Chapman Jr., chairman of the executive committee of Knight-Ridder Inc.

The commencement address will be delivered by Margaret O'Brien Steinfels of New York, editor of Commonweal magazine.
