In a year where much of the West and parts of Utah are worrying about water, the city of Orem is floating along just fine.
City manager Daryl Berlin said, "At this point we see no problems that would require cutbacks or rationing."The city has recently been told that it can expect 100 percent of its allotment from Deer Creek Reservoir.
Other percentages from areas that carry water to Orem show that Trial Lake is at 71 percent of average and snow pack at the Timpanogos Divide is 55 percent of average.
"With the April precipitation, we should be OK," Berlin said. "If we are around 75 percent of normal by June 1st we aren't too worried."
