About 2,000 visitors showed up southwest of Arco at the Craters of the Moon National Monument Saturday in support of clean air.

The event, which was designed to raise the public's awareness of air quality and the importance of preserving it, was success, said park official Mary Bean.Bean said this is the first attempt by Craters of the Moon to raise concerns for air quality and was part of a nationwide initiative to prevent further deterioration of air quality.
