Weber State will host its 12th Annual Standard Examiner/University Athletic Service of Utah High School Girls Track Invitational this Friday at Wildcat Stadium.

The meet gets underway at 9 a.m. with trials and finals in the javelin (followed by the discus), long jump and shot put. Trials and finals in the high jump start at 10 a.m. Trials in the running events start at 9:30 a.m. with the 100 meter hurdles, 100 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 300 meter hurdles and 200 meter dash.Finals in all running events will start at 1:30 p.m. with a boys invitational 3000 meter steeplechase followed by the 100 meter hurdles. The last event of the day is the mile relay scheduled at 4:55 p.m.

Approximately 50 schools along the Wasatch Front have been invited to participate and the meet will include teams from all the local high schools (Ogden, Ben Lomond, Weber, Roy, Bonneville, Layton, Clearfield, Davis, Box Elder) along with most of the Salt Lake and Utah County schools. Mountain View will be on hand to defend its title from last year where the Bruins broke a seven-straight championship run by Weber High School.
