"A Celebration of Communication" is the theme of the 14th annual Women's Conference sponsored by the College of Eastern Utah and the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce. The conference will be held in the Student Activity Center on the CEU campus in Price on April 5.
According to Jan Young, president of CEU's Campus Women Together and a conference organizer, several workshops, panel discussions and seminars featuring experts in a variety of communication-related fields will be held throughout the day. Topics include non-verbal communication, dependence and co-de-pendence, women in the humanities, communication of proper dress, bulimia and negotiation skills. "Power" is the topic of KUTV television executive, Maria Moore, who will present the keynote speech at the conference luncheon. The 1991 "Woman of the Year" also will be named at the luncheon.The public is invited to the conference and may choose to attend the entire conference (including the luncheon), the luncheon only, or the morning workshop and discussion sessions only. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the Student Activity Center's Alumni Room. The fee is $15 for the full conference, $9 for the luncheon only, or $6 for the morning sessions only. One hour of college credit is available from CEU for conference participants from an addition $10.
