A Price man is in jail in connection with the Easter weekend shooting death of an acquaintance along the San Rafael River east of Castle Dale.
The body of Jimmy Lee, 21, Huntington, was discovered about 9:15 p.m. Friday by deputy sheriffs Rue Bell and Kurt Jacobson on weekend patrol about 28 miles east of Castle Dale. He had been shot once in the forehead with a .44 caliber pistol, Emery Sheriff Lamar Guymon said.Based on information provided by a teenager who witnessed the shooting, a 28-year-old Price man was booked into the Emery County Jail for investigation of criminal homicide. His identity was not released.
The victim and suspect were acquaintances and had been camping together. Deputies were led to the scene by someone who discovered the body slumped over a table in a camper parked two miles below the swinging bridge on the San Rafael River, Guymon said.
No details were released concerning motive for the killing, and Guymon said the investigation is continuing.
