Henry I. "Dee" Elswood, 73, died March 30, 1991 at the home of his daughter.

Born April 15, 1917, in Sandy, Utah to John Henry and Loretta Belle Hardcastle Elswood. Married Fay Elizabeth Butterfield in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 11, 1940. He was a veteran of World War II, and an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Bishopric of the Sandy 3rd Ward, and as clerk of the Sandy Stake for 13 years. Also served as a volunteer fireman for Sandy City. He loved photography, bowling, and restoring cars.Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Dawna and Lon Troyer; grandchildren, Heather, Hollie, Justin, Jamie, and Ryan Troyer; sister, Mrs. William G. (Norma) Ottman, all of Sandy.

Funeral Services Tuesday, April 2nd, 11:00 a.m., in the Sandy 3rd Ward Chapel, 8850 South 150 West. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Monday 6-7:30 p.m., and at the ward on Tuesday 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial, Sandy City Cemetery.
