Edward Field, 81, passed away March 29, 1991 at a local nursing home.

He was born 29 September, 1901 to Arthur and Sarah Annie Langton Field in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, England, being the eldest of six children. After joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at age 11, he had an urgent desire to immigrate to the U.S. at the age of 17. He made his home in Evanston, Wyoming, where he met and married Kathryn Burton, September 6th, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. In 1943 they moved to Bountiful, Utah.He was active all his life in the LDS Church, holding many responsible positions including service in the priesthood quorums, missions and bishoprics. His greatest joy was many years of service in the Salt Lake Temple. He served two stake missions and one 18 month mission to England with his wife from 1975 - 1977.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Bountiful, three daughters Dorothy Redd, Lancaster, Calif.; Kathryn Johnson, Vancouver, Wash.; Helen Call, Afton, Wyo; three sons Richard, Logan; Robert, West Bountiful; and David, Garland, 45 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three sisters and one brother in England. Preceded in death by parents and one sister in England.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, April 2,1991 in the Bountiful 58th Ward Chapel 200 North, 200 West. Friends may call Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary Chapel 295 North Main and Tuesday at the church 10:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment in the Lakeview Memorial Park.
