Our loving wife, mother, nana, Donna Anderson Thayne, 57, of Orem,died Friday, March 29 at her home following a long courageous battle with cancer.

She was born October 2, 1933 in Junction, Utah, a daughter of SethRex and Myrtle Luke Anderson. She later moved to Orem where shegraduated from Lincoln High School. While attending Brigham YoungUniversity, she met her husband, Gordon E. Thayne. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on March 12, 1953. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. Shewas a devoted mother and homemaker and dedicated her time to her family. She was an active proponent of education and strived tofoster a love of reading and education among children. She was and avid reader and loved music and the arts. Her hobbies included needlework, camping, boating and other outdoor activities.Survivors include her husband, Orem; seven children, MichaelThayne, Highland; Kristine Hatch, Wilton, CT; Dianne Driggs, SouthJordan; Tamara Crawley, Jennifer Thayne, Daren Thayne, all of Orem;Preston Thayne, Rough Rock, AZ; ; 16 grandchildren; her mother,Orem; one brother and sister, Thad Anderson, Rexine A. Eagar, bothof Orem.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 3, at 11 a.m. in theOrem Stake Center, 481 East Center. Friends may call Tuesday from7 to 9 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State, Orem,and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at thestake center. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
