Lura Redd, age 99, passed away March 29, 1991 in Bountiful, Utah.

Born June 16, 1891 in New Harmony, Utah, to William Alexander and Mary Verena Bryner Redd. She was a retired school teacher and artist, graduate of the University of Utah. Active member and teacher in the LDS Church. Avid genealogist. Served an LDS Mission to Chicago 1916-1918, to England 1961-1963. She taught school in Canada and Box Elder High School. She published a book "The Utah Redds and Their Progenitors". She was active in social and professional organizations.Survived by sisters, Fern R. Laycock, Lethbridge, Canada; Mary R. Snyder, Alhambra, Calif.; brother, Kay B. Redd, Raymond Alberta, Canada; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by three brothers, seven sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 12 noon at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State, where friends may call Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
