Vera Jane Williams Hoffmann, 69, died March 27, 1991 at her daughter's home in Provo, of cancer.

Born May 20, 1921, in Riverdale, Weber County, Utah to Aaron Thomas and Sylvia May Child Williams. Married to Kenneth J. Hoffmann on June 30, 1939 in Ogden, Utah; later solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. Divorced in 1985. Grew up in Ogden where she attended school and began her married life. During her married life she lived in Westchester and Whittier, California before returning to Utah to live in Bountiful. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many callings. In 1986 she served a mission in the Arcadia California Mission. She worked as a floral designer and enjoyed working with flowers and crafts.She is survived by nine children, Mrs. William (Linda) Petersen, Provo; Dennis Hoffmann, Bellevue, Washington; Michael Hoffmann, Provo; Mrs. Ronald (Shanna) Bingham, Everett, Washington; Merrill Hoffmann, Salt Lake City; Richard Hoffmann, Sandy; David Hoffmann, Layton; Susan Hoffmann, Sierra Madre, California; Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Wanless, Everett, Washington; 28 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leland R. Williams, Brigham City. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, one sister, one brother and a grandson.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 30, 1 p.m. at the West Bountiful 3rd Ward, 858 North 800 West. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment, North Ogden City Cemetery.
