The Muir Quartet minus one - will perform a benefit concert for the Snowbird Institute for the Arts and Humanities on Friday, April 5, in one of Salt Lake City's historic mansions.

The evening will include drinks and hors d'oeuvres and an intimate program of chamber music by the Muir, long resident at the institute's annual String Chamber Music Festival.With violinist Bayla Keyes sidelined with a new baby, the three remaining members of the group - violinist Peter Zazofsky, violist Steven Ansell and cellist Michael Reynolds - will perform string trios of Beethoven and Dohnanyi. Tickets are $50 (tax-deductible), with proceeds going toward scholarships for two quartets to study under the Muir's tutelage at this year's festival.
